What do I need to become an affiliate?
First of all, our affiliate program is completely free, and comes with no obligation; you don't even need to be a registered user of Creative Element Power Tools to participate.
However, you do need a PayPal account to receive payments; if you don't have one, you can sign up with PayPal for free.
Furthermore, the email address you provide to us must be on your PayPal account.
(If it's not, you can always add it here.)
Once your PayPal account is in order, go ahead and sign up for an Affiliate account here.
What do I get out of it?
As a Creative Element Power Tools affiliate, you'll receive an 11% commission from every purchase made through one of your links.
That's nearly $2.00 in your pocket for each paid registration.
Want more? We'll give you a $10 bonus for every 50 registrations you send us; that's an effective commission rate of over 12%!
Want even more? For every 100 paid registrations, your commission rate for subsequent purchases increases by one point... up to 20%!
With bonuses continuing every 50 registrations, your effective rate can be as high as 21.11%, nearly double the base rate!

How do I get Creative Element Power Tools for free?
Say you've just signed up to be an affiliate: that means your base commission rate is 11%, or $1.98 per registration.
After just 10 registrations, you'll earn more than enough to cover the cost of a license of Creative Element Power Tools for yourself.
But since you can even get a commission for your own purchase of the software, you actually only need 9 registrations to make up the difference!
Or, say you've been an affiliate for some time, and your commission rate has climbed to 20%.
At this point, you need only 5 registrations to pay for a license for yourself.
In short, all you need to do is spread the word about Creative Element Power Tools, and you can get it for free!
How do I get my web links?
Just sign in to your account, select the How to Make Links tab, and use one of the custom URLs shown.
How do you track sales with try-before-you-buy software?
Customers evaluating Creative Element Power Tools have a full 45 days before they need to register.
This means that it may take as long as a month and a half from the moment a customer downloads the software until a corresponding commission posts to your account (although many customers register much sooner).
But your patience will pay off, as Creative Element Power Tools has a very high download-to-purchase ratio.
But how does it work?
Every download from one of your links is tagged with your affiliate ID.
That ID is then sent back to Creative Element when the customer purchases the software, allowing the appropriate commission to be credited to your account.
Is it reliable?
Our affiliate tracking system has proven to be extremely reliable.
It doesn't rely on a customer's long-term cookie storage, and works even if the customer downloads the software on one PC and installs it on another.
The customer doesn't have to do anything special, such as telling us where they learned about the software; it all works invisibly.
But like any affiliate system, it's not completely foolproof: please read our Terms and Conditions for more information.
How do I check my balance?
Just sign in to your account and your balance is shown at the top of the page, under the Account Balance tab.
How do track my affiliate account performance?
Just sign in to your account and click the Performance & Stats tab to view your link history, including stats for click-through traffic, downloads, and purchases.
Tip: Click any of the links in the Reports section (under the Performance & Stats tab) to view pop-up charts of your historical performance data. You can drag the charts and view multiple charts side-by-side.
Note: You must have a modern browser with full JavaScript support to view the charts.
How do I get my money?
As you earn commissions, your account balance is updated immediately.
Payments are made to affiliates monthly, provided your balance is above the $10 minimum.
If your balance is below the minimum, payment is deferred to the subsequent month.
Payments are sent via PayPal to the email address you used when you signed up, which is why your email address must be associated with your PayPal account.

Can I distribute the installer?
Creative Element Power Tools uses a network installer, which downloads files and components as needed from the Creative Element website.
If you attempt to distribute this installer, either by making it available for download on your own site or putting it on a CD, it may stop working when a new version of Creative Element Power Tools is released.
If you wish to distribute an installer yourself, please use the offline installer.
To get an offline installer correctly tagged for your affiliate account, please follow these steps:
- Sign in to your account.
- Select the How to Make Links tab.
- Click the test link underneath the second custom URL shown, which will take you to the download section of the Creative Element Power Tools home page.
- Click the offline installer link below (not the big Download Now! button) to download a file you can safely distribute to your customers.
