Version 3.0.1, released June 11, 2010.

  • The Comparator tool now shows the sizes and dates of files when you compare two folders.

  • Fixed a bug that would cause the Startup module to become unresponsive if the Clear out the Temp folder tool was enabled. (When this happened, several tools stopped working, including Configure Hotkeys and Quickly create new folders.)

  • Fixed a bug that prevented the software from starting on Windows Server 2003.

Version 3.0.0, released May 28, 2010.

  • New tool: Repeat lets you quickly repeat the last Power Rename, Change Date, Copy To, or Move To operation on selected files without any interaction.

  • Power Rename now supports folder renaming.

  • File Type Doctor can now repair broken file type permissions (see Help for details).

  • The Quickly create new folders, Fix the Windows Search Tool, Show shortcut targets, and Delete in-use files tools are now fully supported on 64-bit Windows.

  • All context-menu tools have been upgraded with better performance and more predictable positions in context menus.

  • The UAC shield icon now appears next to any context menu tools requiring Administrator-level access on Windows 7 and Vista (both 32-bit and 64-bit).

  • The Show the full path in file dialog title bars, Quickly access recently-used folders, and Save file dialog size and view settings tools have been improved.

  • Windows Server 2008 is now supported. Windows Me is no longer supported. (Details here.)

  • A few minor bugs have been fixed.

  • KNOWN ISSUE: due to a bug in Windows 7, the context menu tools will never report more than 16 selected files. But the tools still work with any number of files; just disregard the number shown in parenthesis in your menus. Earlier versions of Windows are not affected.
